At-Bat Music Oddities?
One of my favorite things about baseball is the at-bat/entrance music of players. I love when they border on bizarre and WTF. The stereotypical stuff kinda annoys me. So I decided to go and, with the help of This Database and Youtubery, I will showcase the most bizarre and awesome at-bat music.

Adam Dunn, Arizona Diamondbacks: "Sister Christian"-Night Ranger

Eric Byrnes, Arizona Diamondbacks: "Your Love"-The Outfield

Randy Johnson, Arizona Diamondbacks: "Spanish Castle Magic"-Jimi Hendrix

Buddy Carlyle, Atlanta Braves: "C'mon, C'mon"-Von Bondies

Tom Glavine, Atlanta Braves: "Heavy"-Collective Soul

Jeremy Guthrie, Baltimore Orioles: "Like I Love You"-Justin Timberlake

Dustin Pedroia, Boston Red Sox: "Fuck Wit Dre Day"-Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg

Jed Lowrie, Boston Red Sox: "Teenage Kicks"-The Undertones</b>

Daisuke Matsuzaka, Boston Red Sox:
"Real Thing Shakes"-B'Z

Hideki Okajima, Boston Red Sox: "Okajima Okie Dokie"-Mr. Yoshie

Manny Delcarmen, Boston Red Sox: "Stand Here With Me"-Creed

Ken Griffey Jr, Chicago White Sox: "Soul Glo Jingle"-Coming To America

Jay Bruce, Cincinnati Reds: "Don't Bring Me Down"-Electric Light Orchestra

Jeremy Sowers, Cleveland Indians: "Pot Kettle Black"-Wilco

Chris Iannetta, Colorado Rockies: "I Can't Dance"-Genesis

Ryan Spilborghs, Colorado Rockies: "Thriller"-Michael Jackson

Curtis Granderson, Detroit Tigers: "Poison"-Bell Biv Devoe

Dan Uggla, Florida Marlins: "Bust a Move"-Young MC

Mark Loretta, Houston Astros: "Low Rider"-War (just because it's quirky with him...Nomar as well) and also "Dance of the Manatees"-Fair to Midland (which I only have here because agentpoptart would love this one)

Kaz Matsui, Houston Astros: "Rhythm and Police"-DDR

Jimmy Gobble, Kansas City Royals: "Copperhead Road"-Steve Earle

Mark Teixiera, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim: "All Along the Watchtower"-Jimi Hendrix

Russell Martin, Los Angeles Dodgers: "I Can't Drive 55"-Sammy Hagar

Casey Blake, Los Angeles Dodgers: "All These Things That I've Done"-The Killers

Derek Lowe, Los Angeles Dodgers: "Everytime We Touch"-Cascada (WTF is with him and bad techno?!)

Jonathan Broxton, Los Angeles Dodgers: "Johnny B. Goode"-Chuck Berry

JJ Hardy, Milwaukee Brewers: "Flower"-Moby

Brian Shouse, Milwaukee Brewers: "Shout"-Tears For Fears

Denard Span, Minnesota Twins: "Father Figure"-Army of Anyone

Brendan Harris, Minnesota Twins: "Cherry Pie"-Warrant

Matt Tolbert, Minnesota Twins: "Zombie"-Cranberries

Brian Schneider, New York Mets: "In The Air Tonight"-Phil Collins

Derek Jeter, New York Yankees: "Candy"-Cameo(I almost not hate him for this)

Pat Burrell, Philadelphia Phillies: "Dirty Laundry"-Don Henley

Shane Victorino, Philadelphia Phillies: "Duppy Conquerer"-Bob Marley (he has two other Bob Marley songs as well)

Tom Gordon, Philadelphia Phillies: "Flash Gordon Theme"-Queen (I would've been very disappointed if it wasn't this)

Andy LaRoche, Pittsburgh Pirates: "You're the Best Around"-Joe Esposito

Michael Barrett, San Diego Padres: "Train in Vain"-The Clash and also "Round Up"-NFL Films

Rich Aurilia, San Francisco Giants: "No Sleep Till Brooklyn"-Beastie Boys

Kenji Johjima, Seattle Mariners: "Hey Joe"-Stereoside

Brian Barton, St. Louis Cardinals: "A Change Is Gonna Come"-Sam Cooke (don't get me wrong I love the shit out of this song but it just sounds odd as at-bat music)

Jonny Gomes, Tampa Bay Rays: "Crazy Bitch"-Buckcherry

Michael Young, Texas Rangers: "Guess Who's Back"-Rakim

Roy Halladay, Toronto Blue Jays: "Bad Case of Loving You"-Robert Palmer

AJ Burnett, Toronto Blue Jays: "Hangin' Tough"-New Kids on the Block (LOLZ!!)

Willie Harris, Washington Nationals: "Walk On By"-Isaac Hayes

Pete Orr, Washington Nationals: "Intergalactic"-Beastie Boys

That's all I got for ya....feel free to lollers with me on some of them. Also I tried one for every team so some are kinda like a "WTF" kinda thing because it's fairly common...

I will now never be able to see Jeremy Guthrie without thinking, "JUST BE LIMBERRRRRR."

Derek Lowe is my hero.

And could I love Halladay and Burnett any more? I think not.

OMG, Matt Tolbert still uses "Zombie"?? LOL. (I remember that from his Red Wing days...)

B-Rob's at-bat music is "Hypnotize". I burst out laughing when they played it Monday!

Yes, yes, he does. It made me go WHUT the first time I heard it, too.

Some of these make me scratch my head and go "Wut?" But I will forever love Jeremy Guthrie for the Wilco song.

I can confirm that is indeed Iannetta's walkup music. I think Spilborghs changed his, though, but Spilly was on the DL when I was out in Denver. It's something else hilariously ironic, IIRC.

Teixeira's ripping off Craig Counsell. That's been his walkup for years.

Blake DeWitt isn't listed; he uses "Immigrant Song" by Led Zeppelin.
